Under Sedation was born on November 4th, 1995, just one week after Absent Friends, a long running Sacramento-area cast held their retirement show on October 31st, 1995. Under Sedation is running into their fourth year as a cast stronger than ever, bringing the rocky horror experience to the Sacramento valley!

Outside of just the good 'ol fashioned Rocky show every Saturday night at our theatre, cast members can sometimes be seen dropping in and visiting our friends in the nearby bay area casts. Other times, some of the bay area cast members can be seen gracing our own stage. The cast holds regular theme nights approximately once a month, to keep rocky fresh, and to get our audience to partcipate even more with the show. Some of these theme nights have included Pimp & Ho night, Lingerie Night, Gothic Night & Fetish Night.

Not all the fun takes place inside the theatre, however! The cast not only hangs out as friends at parties such as trannie-pack making event, but we have also done fundraisers. This included a car wash which not only benefited our cast, but half of the proceeds were donated to the Sacramento AIDS foundation. Under Sedation will also be marching in the annual Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco this year, with our friends from the Bay Area Rocky casts.

The cast of Under Sedation plays every Saturday night at the Birdcage Savings Cinemas in Citrus Heights, California (a suburb of Sacramento). Our theatre also shows the movie on Friday nights, allowing our cast to hold an open rehursal that is open to the public (namely new folks interested in joining in on the fun!)
